The southern peak of Tomorr Mountain which is otherwise known as the mountain of the gods. It is suggested to visit the southern part of the mountain as there is much to offer. It is a pilgrimage destination during August. Pilgrims follow the classic itinerary.
During the climb you will encounter the footprint of Abass Ali (this place is sacred to the Bektashis) it is thought to be the footprint of the saint’s horse, during the mythical journey to Tomorr. The car ride still continues to the Teqe part. There you will find the architecture of the Bektashi cult which is quite interesting. Visit the Tekke, the place where the Dervishes are buried, as well as the holy tombs. This is where you need to park your car to continue the Ascent to the South Peak. The climb is of average level and takes approximately 5 hours The views while climbing are fantastic. On the highest peak is the monumental tomb of Abass Ali How to reach the mountain By private vehicle from Berat to Teqe part ( which is about 1600 me above sea level ) then start hiking to the summit

For those who dont like to hike is also a great destination – you can drive from Berat to the Teqe and monumental tombs – this area is located 1700 me above sea level and you can reach it by vehicle – the views are nice . Religious building are also interesting
This is the hike to the sourthern peak of Tomorri mountain. This summit has an altitude of 2379 m. It’s a bit (-50m) less than the northern summit which is also more difficult to climb.There is a bektashi tekke in the summit and there are numerous religious structures along the mountain. The hike starts in the upper part of Ujanik village or close to the Teqe of Kulmak
This road goes up to the summit, which constitutes also the highest part reachable by a car in Albania.The summit offers maybe one of the best views of Trebeshine-Dhembel-Nemercke chain in the south. Just next to Tomorri is Kulmak mountain, a gigantic massif which is in front of you all the time during climbing.
On a good day and with a careful eye you could even spot the Italian coastal line. Mount Tomorr is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.382m (7,814ft) above the sea level, located in Berat County, in southern Albania. It’s said to be the highest point in Albania that you can reach by car. The average gradient is 11.36% with sections up to 16%.
Located in the National Park Tomori (Parku Kombëtar Mali i Tomorrit), the infamous gravel road to the summit is bumped. It is subject to winter snowfalls with such a high summit altitude, and it can be closed anytime when the access is not cleared of snow. The area is characterized by an impressive landscape and beautiful nature. Expect a trail pretty steep with tight switchbacks. Starting from Ujanik, the ascent is 8.7 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 989 meters. The average gradient is 11.36% with sections up to 16%
